HIV/AIDS is still one of the world's most devastating health issues. The sustained commitment of AID FOR AIDS (AFA) will continue to improve the quality of life of those that it serves both overseas in the developing world and here at home.

AFA collects and 'recycles' unused HIV medications in the USA, which would otherwise be disposed of, and distributes it free of charge to people living in over 27 developing countries.

Our Recycling Program gets millions of dollars' worth of medications, that would otherwise go unused, every year to people who would most likely die without them. It is illegal to share or redistribute prescription drugs in the U.S., so when patients here change their medication, discontinue use of drugs, or unfortunately die, these precious, lifesaving medicines are meant to be thrown away. AFA collects these medications from doctors, clinics, hospitals, AIDS organizations, and individuals across the nation. We inspect every pill for purity, re-label every bottle with name of drug, dosage, and expiration date. Then we recycle these drugs, sending them as humanitarian aid to healthcare providers and approximately 400 enrolled HIV/AIDS patients each year around the world.

Patients enrolled in our AIDS Treatment Access Program receive an unbroken supply of medication from us for life or until their own governments step up and support them with access to affordable medication. This is what makes AID FOR AIDS unique, our commitment to provide ongoing unbroken treatment for each and every clients at no cost.

Without this lifesaving program, these people would be without the treatment they need to survive.

Any donation of unexpired medications is of vital importance to us: If you or someone you know has surplus of HIV drugs, you can greatly assist us by passing on the information that these medications can be donated to AID FOR AIDS for humanitarian aid. Leftovers save lives!

Please roam around the site and read more about the extent of our services,we hope they will inspire you further. The program button in the menu to the left will allow you to read about all of our services, as will the program icons to the right. Of particular significance is our program NCuSnto sabes de VIH y SIDA? (How much do you know about HIV and AIDS?) has educated approximately 36,000 youth, ages 13 to 19, in 10 Latin America countries about the risks of HIV and techniques to prevent its transmission.

If you are not in a position to be able to help us with medication - we still need your support to raise the necessary funds to collect, pack and ship the medications to its recipients every month - and to monitor adherence to treatment for each recipient. If you believe in our mission and the services we are providing - donating even the smallest amount of money will help us enormously to accomplish our goals and ensure that children and families all over the world can look forward to a better quality of life.
