Aid for AIDS

Since 1997, gifts from concerned, caring people have allowed AID FOR AIDS to develop the largest HIV medication recycling program in the world and to offer comprehensive programs that improve the well-being of children and adults living with HIV and AIDS.
The Circle of Heroes provides crucial , unrestricted operating resources to AFAI and brings needed attention to the Latin American and Caribbean region, an area often overlooked by other giving campaigns.  Your gift will enable AID FOR AIDS to expand existing programs, implement innovative prevention campaigns, and successfully participate in the fight against stigma and discrimination.

The Inner Circle
Gifts of $25,000 or more
Your gift of $25,000 can pay for the annual cost of shipping $6 million worth of HIV medication from the United States to 27 different countries; or can identify, educate, and train 15 new leaders. To conduct social surveillance and advocacy work for children and adults living with HIV and AIDS in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Benefits: All the benefits listed below, and your name engraved on the commemorative donnor wall at AID FOR AIDS International’s headquarters in New York City.

The Leadership Circle
$10,000 to $24,999
Your gift of $10,000 can maintain a local primary prevention site that benefits 9,000 teenagers annually or bring training courses in HIV and AIDS management to 50 rural physicians located in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Benefits: All the benefits listed below plus an exclusive VIP invitation for two to the annual My Hero Gala kick-off party, hosted by the Gala Co-chairs and Board members.

The Benefactor Circle
$5,000 to $9,999
Your gift of $5,000 can ship medication from Panama to six countries in Central America, providing annual treatment for 1,000 people living with HIV and AIDS; or can cover the cost of genotype testing for at least 10 people who have shown resistance to past treatments.
Benefits: All the benefits listed below plus an exclusive invitation for ten to a luncheon and tour of AFAI’s headquarters, hosted by the Board chairs.

The Ally Circle
$2,500 to $4,999
Your gift can provide prevention education for at least 250 teenagers; or can purchase a year’s worth of pediatric antiretroviral medication for 10 children living with HIV and AIDS in this region.
Benefits: All the benefits listed below plus an invitation for two people to an annual breakfast held at AID FOR AIDS International’s headquarters.

The Friend Circle
$1,000 to $2,499
Your gift can pay for the shipment of medication and for the laboratory tests for one year for one person enrolled in our Access to Treatment Program; or provide a month of psychotherapy for 70 children living with HIV and AIDS, receiving treatment at our facility in the Children’s Hospital in Panama City.
Benefits: Our appreciation plus our recognition in our Annual Organizational Report and on our website.
