Observatorio Latino invited as communication point by Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria
Observatorio Latino continues is work as an informational resource for individuals involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, acting as a communication channel between the Global Fund, the Country Coordinating Mechanisms, and the different actors from civil society. In recent news, Observatorio Latino has been invited to be a communication focal point for the Delegation of Communities affected by HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, within Latin America and the Caribbean. This opportunity and exposure will improve the quality of information Observatorio Latino can provide civil society, and will allow staff to provide the most up-to-date information regarding Global Fund processes and activities. Observatorio Latino (and thus, AID FOR AIDS International) is the only Spanish-speaking organization or group that has been granted the credentials of “observer” by the Board of Directors of the Global Fund. This invitation permits our staff to be present at Global Fund Board Meetings, to observe, report, act as a representative on behalf of civil society in Latin America and the Caribbean.
