Education and Training Program

This Program is designed to disseminate information regarding HIV infection, AIDS-related manifestations, and treatments used in clinical trials. We also provide leadership and life enhancing skills training. Our educational outreach program targets persons living with HIV/AIDS, their caregivers, and healthcare providers. The purpose of this intervention is to mobilize pro-active and well thought-out action steps toward HIV/AIDS treatment, care and advocacy and to improve quality of life. The AIDS Education and Training program is divided in two projects:


The NYC AIDS Education Initiative

The following services are provided in this project:

• One-on-one HIV treatment education

• Immigration and political asylum counseling and workshops

• English as a second language (ESL) classes

• Workshops and seminars

• Distribution of written treatment education materials translation services

The Global AIDS Education Project

The following services are provided in this project:

• Health care provider HIV/AIDS treatment, care and management in-service

• Caregivers' HIV/AIDS treatment, care, and management in-service.

• Caregivers' self-care and attention to rest and needs

• Person living with HIV/AIDS treatment, care and management in-service

• Physical, mental, and spiritual health awareness, attention and needs

• Nutrition education and social life awareness
