AID FOR AIDS Colombia and Hijos de la Guajira come together to support the community of Maicao
At the beginning of the month, AFA Colombia and Hijos de la Guajira joined efforts in Maicao to carry out different activities to provide support to the community that is part of the Healing Colombia nutrition program.
Through this project, more than 650 migrant and refugee children and adolescents have been served. This population is currently in vulnerable conditions and ranges from 2 to 12 years.
Jennifer Hernández, Project Manager of Healing Colombia, Susan Griego, Buenaventura Alaya and Saifi Díaz held a workshop called “The Monsters of Colors”. This was intended to create a space for coexistence, creativity and empathy, teaching the boys and girls of La Guajira to manage and recognize their emotions.
We are proud to be able to collaborate with Hijos de la Guajira on this initiative and work together to provide support to the Maicao community. We firmly believe the importance of empowering children, helping them develop emotional skills that allow them to face life’s challenges in a healthy way.
AID FOR AIDS Colombia and Hijos de la Guajira will continue to work together to provide support and generate a positive impact on the lives of the children of La Guajira. Our commitment to the community and the promotion of the emotional well-being of the little ones remains firm.
