AID FOR AIDS implements a megaproject for migrants between Panama and Colombia
AID FOR AIDS, in collaboration with international organizations, created a binational project between Colombia and Panama to provide services to migrants crossing the Darién jungle, mainly addressing their health needs. At both ends of the jungle, AID FOR AIDS will test for HIV and syphilis. For reactive results, treatment will be offered.
The project is in its initial phases: training of technical and healthcare personnel, who will offer informative and educational talks to migrants about ways of transmission of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) and methods of prevention.
AID FOR AIDS’ efforts adhere to the 95-95-95 goal promoted by UNAIDS to end the HIV epidemic in the very near future.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][dt_media_gallery_carousel image_border_radius=”0px” project_icon_border_width=”0px” arrow_bg_width=”36x” arrow_border_width=”0px” r_arrow_icon_paddings=”0px 0px 0px 0px” r_arrow_v_offset=”0px” l_arrow_icon_paddings=”0px 0px 0px 0px” l_arrow_v_offset=”0px” include=”9956,9953,9950,9947,9944,9941,9938,9935,9911,9914,9917,9920,9923,9926,9929,9932,9908,9905,9902,9899″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
