Prevention and Sexual Health Campaign in La Victoria, Lima with AID FOR AIDS Peru
On April 14, AID FOR AIDS Peru carried out the Prevention and Sexual Health Campaign in the farmers market of the district of La Victoria, Lima.
Here, our multidisciplinary team informed the Venezuelan migrant population about prevention methods and sexual education, performing tests to rule out HIV and syphilis.
Immigration guidance was also provided to the participants, clearing up their doubts and indicating the processes to follow to obtain regular migratory status within Peruvian territory, which would allow them to join the Integrated Health System and thus have access to greater medical care.
Similarly, counseling and emotional support was offered to people who were reactive in their HIV and syphilis tests, offering advice and support through our team so that they can access ARV treatment by the Ministry of Health.
