The “Conectando Caminos por los Derechos” program reaches its final phase in 6 cities in Colombia
On May 11, 2023, three technical bulletins were presented about the rights of migrants and refugees who practice survival sex in Colombia. These three bulletins were prepared from three perspectives: 1) cisgender women, 2) homosexual, heterosexual and bisexual men and, 3) the trans population
This event was carried out working with the Conectando Caminos por los Derechos team and the Presidential Council for Women’s Equality.
The Action Program, carried out by USAID and AID FOR AIDS, lasted two years, aiming to contribute to the recognition, promotion and defense of human rights of people who practice survival sex in Soledad, Bogotá, Cali, Cúcuta, Medellín and Maicao, Colombia.
This program was made to promote the rights of refugees and migrants, especially Venezuelan women and people from the LGBTIQ+ community who practice survival sex in Colombia; offering personalized guidance about migratory regularization and linkage to the health system.
